Marketing & Fund Development Coordinator

CALGARY PRIDE 

Worked to execute one of the longest and most complex Pride festivals put on during Calgary’s history and created the first-ever blended experience (digital and in-person) Calgary Pride week ever with the smallest team in recent history. This included: the first-ever instance of inviting Two-Spirit and other Queer Indigenous leaders to host a Traditional Open Ceremony in City Hall in conjunction with the official raising of the Inclusive Pride Flag (Quasar Flag) at City Hall, attended by Major Nenshi; a digital conversation with Prince Manvendra Singh Gohil discussing internalized cultural harm, panel discussing the intersections of faith and queer identities in conjunction with the American Consulate of Canada; hosted four panels on allyship in business; and partnered with local organizations for five nights and two days of live performances. This was supported by engaging with over 100+ local, national and international Partners to engage the community and financially support Calgary Prides year-round programing. Additionally, created content for and managed the social media accounts, website, and app throughout the summer and B!G Pride Week.

2018-2020

Land Analyst

IMPERIAL OIL RESOURCES LIMITED/ EXXONMOBIL CANADA

Mineral Administration focus, as both a summer student and career employee. Analyse potential revenue opportunities, lease compliance, offset wells, manual billing processes, shut-in wells, lease and contact maintenance work, tracked down dozens of "lost lessors", drafted and executed leases and contracts, department-wide file updates, created land schedules, assessed multiple groups with opportunities for cost saving practices to ensure positive outcomes, attended multiple training sessions to further personal land knowledge, attended meetings with contacts in other companies to discuss potential deals, contributed to Summer Student managment and learning oppertunites, assisted in planning a team building event.

2015 & 2016

SCARBORO UNITED CHURCH

Managed office personnel and various space and equipment rentals, received and processed payments and donations (monetary, clothing, personal items, food), continual website support, managed various social media pages, created and processed various certificates, quoted and provided information on building services and religious services, managed inventory and equipment maintenance, aided the Minister in various duties, organized volunteers, was the primary contact for all members of the community, helped homeless and disadvantaged individuals with online applications, provided oversight and logistic support  regarding the demolition, construction and renovation within a building designated as historic. Trained and onboarded long-term hire. Over the course of two four month summer terms, and served as an organizational assistant on occasion during 2013 & 2014.

SCARBORO UNITED CHURCH

Co-Vice Chair (2017-2018), Vice Chair (2018-2020), Chair (2020 – Current) of the Scarboro United Church Board ensuring the needs of the community, church, and congregants are the priority with any issue brought before the board. This includes but is not limited to; evaluating and considering various social, political, financial, management, rentals, religious issues both of Scarboro United Church, the United Church of Canada and communities both local and global. Additionally, special attention was given to the update and development of the new website and research on upcoming technologies that the organization may use.

MOUNT ROYAL UNIVERSITY

Treasurer (2017-2018), Social Media & Event Planning Executive (2016-2017) and Member (2015-2019) of the Mount Royal University improvisational theater group, Improvination. Maintained all financial accounts, handled all monetary transactions both outgoing and incoming, created proposals for external funding resulting in over $1500 being awarded, helped organized and promoted Improv shows; redesigned banners for social media. Created a digital format for all financial documents, and insured that all financial data available was included and up to date. Organized and promoted all Improv shows; redesigned and produced updated logo; designed and implemented the use of visual marketing and event promotion to the broader university community. Spearheaded the redrafting of the club’s constitution for the first time since the club’s formation, and other general leadership initiatives to update and exceeded past standards.

Throughout employment, as a career employee and summer student as a Land Analyst, numerous courses were completed through the Canadian Association of Petroleum Landmen (CAPL), Canadian Association of Petroleum Land Analysts (CAPLA), IHS AccumMap, Lynda, and internal training programs.

Fall 2014 to Fall 2018 completed BBA with a Major in Marketing. Studied a diversity of business topics (business development, accounting, supply chain, HR, managment, finance) in addition to a broad range of topics (economics, anthropology, speach, women and gender studies, statistics, religion, etc). I am passionate about the value of art, both as a medium of expression and an invaluable tool of communication.

Performance: I have been practicing Impov for 10+ years, giving me strengths in public speaking, presenting, and engaging with both groups and individauls. 

​

Visual: I have had the pleasure of creating logos, branding, infographics, paintings, drawings, digital art, photography, photo editing, cohesive presentation design, promotional materials, digital precence and content, etc. 

​

I have also been involved in choirs, drag, fabrication, garment alteration and design, music and theater production, and interior design.
